Scoring
Features. Shorts. Trailers. TV Shows. Documentaries. Corporate commercials. TV spots. Video games.
Scoring is all about telling a story, no matter the media. Music is used to enhance the character's emotional and physical journey. The music should enhance the viewer's experience and make them feel as if they are a part of that world - whether for a movie, trailer, or video game. I firmly believe that collaboration and flexibility are key to creating a successful and immersive score.
Orchestrating & Arranging
Orchestrating is an art form itself. Writing a melody is one thing, but fleshing it out for an ensemble, whether purely acoustic, electronic, or a hybrid, is another beast. Knowing the range of instruments, how to create certain orchestral colors, how to use effective doubling, and other techniques, are essential in turning a melody or idea into a full piece. I have experience orchestrating and arranging for various ensembles, from full orchestras to more non-traditional groups, both acoustic and hybrid.
